Here's a few safety tips for all Nashville drivers:

Please be especially carful between PM and 8:30 PM on both Saturday and Sunday.

Please park the cell phone. Avoid the extra distraction of either talking, texting or surfing while driving.

Watch for children darting into the streets. Excited kids can dart into the streets at any moment. Most young pedestrian deaths occur at no-intersection areas.

Signal to other drivers - If you have to pull over to drop off your kids, please use your flashers and always use your turn signals.

For your own trick-or - treaters - teach them how to safely cross the street. Tell them to always look both ways and only cross the street at crosswalks or corners. Also, give them flashlights, glow sticks, or use reflective tape to  help make them noticeable to drivers.
